Patrick;
It's time for you to show your Avatar!

Everyone either knows, or can see, that Avatars are possible so the notice is no longer necessary; and I think everyone would like to "see" you.

If they did, they would ask me to put the old one back up... :oops:

Honestly....come to think of it. I have owned my Helix for a year and a half and have never taken a picture of it. :(

I have had my Helix something like 12 years, and I only have one bad pic. That's why I used the one I did. I need to take a decent pic of it for my avatar.

I know this was discussed before in another thread.

But....... How do you post a picture in the block of text?
And is it the same method for an avitar on your file?

I remember something about the picture having to be
already hosted on another website (or something like that).

I don't have a website anywhere and I am general used
to that "browse and upload" method from most sites.

If I allowed the browse and upload method, I would be paying for the hosting and the bandwidth. You typically get that type of service on pay sites. You get what you pay for here. :)

You would need to upload your photo to a hosting place like photobucket, flickr, etc. Then you just find the address of the photo, click the Img button, paste the location of your photo after the tag it adds, then hit the Img button again. If the host for the photo does not give you the address for it, you can right click on it and bring up the properties. Highlight the address, copy it to the clipboard, and paste it into your message with the Img button clicks before and after.

Your ISP probably offers you space for a website. If they do, you can upload photos to there and use them to post here as well.

I can walk you through it if you get your photo uploaded somewhere.
