Muffler fart. 1987 ch250 muffler fart when turning off engine, also muffler running at 500 degrees.

Must be running very rich and the fart may be just un-burnt gas when you shut it down.

Could also be very bad timing, but not sure if that's even adjustable on this scooter.

I am running #6 NGK plug for heat range and getting 80 miles a gallon also this is 40 dollar eBay carb maybe I should adjust valves.

Replace the air cut valve.

Adjusting the valves won't help you if you installed a $40 (chinese) carb.

So we had a long winter here up by Canada, I finally check the air cut valve and it holds no vacuum, so can I just replace the diaphragm inside?

I happen to have a new air cut valve for a cn250 which does not have the extra vccum port for fuel delivery for ch250, so just using the diaphran install still does not hold vacuum, maybe not seating properly?
