I joined the cult!

Postby Frisco Helix » Tue Nov 20, 2018 3:42 pm

Hi guys, 1987 Candy Glory Red (only available in 86 and 87) Helix here.

Bought her about a year ago at 5,000 miles. Now has almost 7,000 miles. Though I don't take long trips with it, I ride it daily.

Was owned by a senior citizen until 2017, then it was sold to a mechanic (child of 1969 Haight culture) who flipped it to me for a very good price.

Looking forward to learning how to work on the scooter myself. Changed the oil myself a few times but I would like to learn much more.

This is my 2nd scooter after my Aprilia 'beo 100cc, which I passed onto my wife.

Sharing the Helix love,
Frisco Helix

Hi, welcome from Jonzac, France. Another few months when the weather warms I think you will slide into longer and longer rides. I am just starting to plan a 5 day ride in the Spanish Pyrenees mountains, WOO HOO !

Thanks everyone.

Enjoy the ride wilsongj. I was just in France and rented a Renault clio. I didn't know they had Helixes there or I would've preferred that!

Hello Frisco, the Helix is called the Spazio here, don't know why, they are as rare as hens teeth! there is on for sale in the whole of France today. I have two, one on the road and another with no papers for parts. (plus a Yamaha Majesty 250 for running around) Where in France were you?
